  • y’s partners presents survey results identifying the core values for a flourishing South Korea.

  • ‘Foresight’ (32.8%) and ‘Authenticity’ (33.6%) rank #1, highlighting future-readiness and identity as the starting points of prosperity.

  • Growth, society, and connectivity keywords converge into ‘Innovation,’ ‘Contribution,’ and ‘Collaboration.’

y’s partners, a firm specializing in K-governance optimization and Crisis Response, unveiled the results of its ‘Thriving Korea Narrative Survey’ during its founding anniversary ceremony held on April 1st at Some Sevit in Seoul.

The survey was conducted among approximately 200 invited dignitaries and opinion leaders from various sectors, including law, finance, academia, media, and global corporations, with 122 final respondents. The study was designed to select one keyword for each of the five pillars: 'Direction & Mindset,' 'Perception & Trust,' 'Driving Force,' 'Relationship with Society,' and 'Expansion & Connectivity.'

Key Findings:

  • Direction & Mindset: ‘Foresight’ ranked first at 32.8%, followed by ‘Resilience’ (19.7%). This indicates a consensus that long-term vision and future-readiness are the true starting points of prosperity over short-term gains.

  • Perception & Trust: ‘Authenticity’ took the top spot with a dominant 33.6%, followed by ‘Credibility’ (23.8%). The results suggest that trust is rooted in protecting Korea’s unique identity and narrative rather than a uniform application of global standards.

  • Driving Force: ‘Innovation’ (30.3%) and ‘Agility’ (25.4%) were identified as the primary drivers of growth, emphasizing new solutions and flexible responses to change.

  • Relationship with Society: ‘Contribution’ ranked first (23.8%), followed by ‘Responsibility’ (21.3%). This shows broad support for growth models that share achievements with society and emphasize sustainable, inclusive progress.

  • Expansion & Connectivity: ‘Collaboration’ (30.3%) was the top choice, highlighting a cooperative approach with diverse stakeholders as the core strategy for Korea’s global engagement.

The Narrative of a Thriving Korea: The results from the five pillars converge into a single, powerful narrative: “A Korea that looks ahead with Foresight, stays true to its unique Authenticity, creates new value through Innovation, makes meaningful Contributions to society, and connects with the world through global Collaboration.”

Yvonne Park, Founder & CEO of y’s partners, remarked, "Korea achieved the ‘Miracle on the Han River’ through manufacturing from scratch and later proved its intellectual and spiritual depth through Han Kang’s Nobel Prize in Literature. This survey marks the first attempt to map out the shared values of our society as we embark on the journey toward a ‘Third Miracle’—a truly Thriving Korea."

James Choi, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of y’s partners, who analyzed the data, emphasized, "The five keywords derived from this survey are not just statistics; they are the core frames that constitute the narrative of Korea’s prosperity. y’s partners will adopt these as our value standards for K-governance consulting to serve as a reliable partner in the prosperity of Korea."
